The Catonsville Kennel Club (CKC) was founded in 1942
by Dr. Robert Miller & Arthur Benhoff.  It was composed of
family and friends who wanted an area All Breed Dog Club
with a non-limited membership.

    Though activities were suspended during World War II,
after the war, the Club's activities reconvened and Catonsville
Kennel Club received its Charter in 1945.  That was the year of
CKC's first AKC sanctioned Dog Show.

    At that time, the Officers and Governors of the Board were;
Dr. Robert Miller and his wife, Dorothy Miller, Arthur Benhoff,
Bernadette Ziegler, George Noppenberger, Dr. David Werner
and James E. Foster.
